What is Birth Storytelling?
Birth photography is unlike anything else I capture. There’s no stiff posing or manufactured moments, only real life unfolding as you bring your baby into the world. The strength you didn’t know you had, the people holding and supporting you through it, the overwhelming joy of finally meeting the baby you’ve waited so long for.
We invest so much to capture our wedding day, our family portraits, our yearly Christmas card, yet we often overlook the day that changes everything. The day you not only meet your baby, but are forever changed because of them.
Birth photography with me is about so much more than documenting labor itself. It’s preserving the moments that would otherwise blur together, the deep breaths, the whispered encouragements, the hand squeezes, the tears, the laughter, the first cry, the way your partner looked at you, the moment your baby was placed on your chest.
My job is to document your story honestly and intentionally so you can return to it years from now and remember not just what it looked like, but what it felt like. Because birth is powerful, deeply personal, and worthy of being remembered.

What does being "on-call" mean?
I go on-call for all my families at 37 weeks and stay on-call until your baby arrives. This means that day or night, whenever your little one decides it’s time, I’m local and ready to go. My phone stays by my side, charged, and with the ringer as loud as can be. Everything on my end is set up so that I can leave at a moment’s notice to be by your side.
What if my baby comes too fast and you miss it?
Babies run on their own timelines, and sometimes they surprise us! If I miss the birth because your little one arrived in record time, I’ll still come to your place of birth to capture as much of your story as possible. And if I feel I don’t have enough images to tell it fully, I’m happy to gift you a newborn or lifestyle family session in the days soon after your baby arrives—so those tender, early moments are still preserved.
Do you offer discounts or payment plans?
I know birth photography can feel like a big investment—I’ve been in your shoes. But this isn’t just “hiring a photographer.” It’s inviting someone into one of the most sacred spaces of your life, someone you trust to honor your story as it unfolds. It’s choosing to preserve the day that will change you forever. I never want cost to be the thing that keeps you from having that.
I offer flexible payment arrangements to make it more accessible. Typically, a 50% non-refundable deposit secures your spot, but I can also do a $500 non-refundable deposit with the remaining balance split into monthly payments up until 38 weeks. The amount of each payment depends on your package and how early you book.

How long does it take to get our photos?
I’ll always send you a gallery of high resolution sneak peeks within 24 hours of your birth (or any other session), so you can relive or share those first moments right away. Your full gallery takes a bit more time as I carefully edit each image, but I promise to deliver within 4 weeks for births and 2–3 weeks for all other sessions.
